Overview

The Mgoun Gorges Trek is one of Morocco’s most spectacular multi-day hikes. Located in the remote Central High Atlas, the Mgoun region is famous for its dramatic limestone canyons, ancient Berber villages, flowing rivers, and untouched nature. Unlike the crowded Toubkal area, Mgoun offers a true off-the-beaten-path experience, perfect for hikers seeking peace, wilderness, and cultural immersion. This trek typically ranges from 3 to 6 days, but the 4-day version is the most popular — combining deep gorges, lush valleys, traditional homes, and scenic mountain landscapes.

Day 2 – Agouti → Arous Gorge → Tarkeddit Plateau
