Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier and Transfer to Chefchaouen

Your journey begins in Tangier, perched at the edge of Africa and Europe. After arriving, you can take a leisurely stroll through Tangier’s medina, feeling the breeze from its Atlantic-facing promenade. Soon after, you depart for Chefchaouen, climbing into the Rif Mountains. Here, the town’s signature blue-washed walls welcome you with calm serenity. You navigate its narrow alleys, and later you may walk to the Ras el-Ma spring and climb up to the abandoned Spanish Mosque. At sunset, the overlook from the mosque provides a serene panorama over Chefchaouen’s cobalt-roofed houses.

Day 2: : From Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes

In the early morning, you leave the Blue City and head south toward Volubilis, where the ruins of a Roman settlement reveal grand mosaic floors, ancient temples, and the remains of merchant homes. After exploring, you continue to Meknes, a grand imperial city whose highlights include the monumental Bab al-Mansour gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the Royal Stables. From Meknes, you drive to Fes, stopping on the hills above the medina to admire the sweeping views from the Merenid Tombs before descending into the city and settling into your riad.

Day 3: Immersive Discovery of Fes

Today is fully dedicated to the enchantment of Fes’s medieval medina. With a guide, you wander through Fes el-Bali, passing through souks filled with spices, leather goods, and ornate ceramics. You visit the famed Chouara Tannery, climbing to a rooftop vantage point for a view of the vibrant dye pits. You step into the Al-Attarine Madrasa and gaze at its intricate zellij (mosaic) tilework before moving on to Al-Qarawiyyin University, one of the world’s oldest universities. You also venture into the Mellah, Fes’s former Jewish quarter, soaking up its architecture and ambiance, and end the afternoon with a viewpoint from the Merenid Tombs.

Day 4 : From Fes to Casablanca via Rabat

You depart Fes in the morning and drive to Rabat, Morocco’s current capital. In Rabat, you explore the Chellah Necropolis, a fascinating mix of Roman and Islamic ruins, and wander the peaceful Andalusian Gardens before visiting the monumental Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Leaving Rabat behind, you travel to Casablanca. In Casablanca, you take a walk along the Atlantic Boulevard de la Corniche, and then visit the Hassan II Mosque, where its massive minaret and detailed craftsmanship draw admiration from all who visit. You may end the day with a meal or drink at the evocative Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic film.

Day 5: Transfer to Marrakech and Evening Exploration

On the fifth day, you leave Casablanca and drive toward Marrakech. Upon arrival, you check into your riad, feel the pulse of the city, and in the evening, you enter Jemaa el-Fna square. As darkness falls, this legendary plaza comes alive with street performers, snake charmers, fire-breathers, musicians, and food vendors, offering a sensory feast and a lively introduction to Marrakech’s heart.

Day 6Marrakech Highlights and Departure

On your final day, you dive into Marrakech’s historic quarters. You visit the soaring Koutoubia Mosque and its tranquil gardens, then explore the exquisite Bahia Palace with its grand courtyards and ornate decor. You might choose to see the Saadian Tombs or the ruined grandeur of El Badi Palace, depending on your interests. You then wander through the souks—spice markets, leather shops, artisan alleys—and end with a peaceful stroll in the Majorelle Gardens, an oasis of color and calm. At the end of the day, you are transferred to the airport or your accommodation, bringing your inspiring north-to-south journey to a close.
